USSecurenet supports Cancer Climber

August 17, 2010

CBS News "Early Show" airs LIVE broadcast from Mt. Kilimanjaro using less than 90 Kbs bandwidth on BGAN through Securenet Connect, powered by DigiGone software supplied by USSecurenet.

USSecurenet, the sole global Inmarsat Distribution Partner of Securenet Connect, powered by DigiGone, and telecommunications supporter of Sean Swarner, known as the "Cancer Climber," arranged for Sean to take a Thrane &Thrane Explorer 500 BGAN terminal, along with Securenet Connect, in order to secure Video Teleconferencing Software on his climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. The clip on the link below is from the segment that appeared LIVE on the CBS News "Early Show" on Tuesday, 27 July, 2010. What is even more amazing is that with Securenet Connect software, this transmission was accomplished using less than 90 Kbps of shared BGAN air time!
